Without an emulator, you can run Android apps on Windows 10

Not many people know that you can run Android apps on Windows 10 without having to use any emulator, like Windows 11.

How to run Android apps on Windows 10

This feature works in a different way than in Windows 11, as it allows you to use Android applications on your Samsung phone.

Therefore, you need to install the app first on your Samsung phone, and then launch it via the Windows 10 phone companion app.

You can access these apps via the Start Menu or the Apps menu in the Windows 10 taskbar.

You need to have the latest version of Windows 10 installed as well as your Phone companion app, Android system newer than 9.0, and both devices are on the same internet.

After that, launch the phone companion app on the computer until you see this message:

You can install the application on your phone via Google Play or by scanning the code that appears in front of you on the screen using the phone's camera.

After that, allow the connection between the two applications by pressing the Allow button

You must also give the app all access to your phone's calls, photos, and text messages as well.

After that, click on the Applications tab in the left menu on the screen, and then choose the application you want to launch to open in a window by itself.

You can also right-click on the application until you pin it to the Start menu or the list of applications to the taskbar.

This feature works with all flagship and mid-range Samsung phones as well, although the support page only includes flagship phones.

The application also works in general with all Android phones, but the ability to use the applications is exclusive to Samsung phones only.

You can also, through the application, mirror the phone screen and access it on the computer, and use it as if you were using the phone directly.

What has changed in Windows 11?

The way apps are supported on Windows 11 has changed, instead of only supporting Samsung phones and having to install the app on the phone before using it.

You can now use the application directly from the Windows 11 system, and install it on the computer without the need to install it on the phone.

This means that you can use a different account for the same application on both the phone and the computer, as if the computer became a phone.
