PES 2022 is rumored to be entirely free to play.
Before the end of last month, KONAMI suddenly announced the opening of participation in the open beta of the “new football game”. The company has deliberately not mentioned the name, but we will call it PES 2022 until the company officially announces it.
What concerns us today is a rumor by Andy Robinson of VGC during the VGC Off The Record podcast, where he mentioned that Konami, as part of its competition with EA in the field of football games, intends to make a lot of changes in this year's part of the PES game.
One of these changes is to offer the game completely free to players and this will undoubtedly enable Konami to attract more new players to its game and possibly withdraw some of the fans of the FIFA series.
However, we don't know if Konami would give out the full game for free, or if it will only be available in certain modes. We'll have to wait for the formal announcement to find out the solution.
Until then, we'll reiterate that Konami did not name this game PES on purpose, implying that reports that Konami may drop the PES moniker in favor of eFootball are accurate.
PES 2022 news has been scant thus far, despite the fact that the business stated in July 2020 that it is working on the next generation PES game, which will take the franchise to new heights. Whether it's in the motion of characters, their realistic designs, or at the level of physics and presenting realistic images, the possibilities are endless.
The enhancements will not be restricted to visuals; the myClub and Master League phases will be substantially enhanced, as well. We also heard that Konami has opted to abandon the Fox Engine in favor of the Unreal Engine in order to produce next-generation titles.
